FOUNDER & CEO

Compere is the only intro creators will ever need. We offer a CEO-as-a-service / Co-founder-as-a-service for creators, supporting with strategic direction and business operations.

Here, I work with talent directly through a couple of service offerings:

  • Co-founder-as-a-service: we partner with creators to incept and deliver new businesses that align with the core values and interests of talent. We'll get together a project team that helps bring ideas to life, and use our expertise to help talent transition to being entrepreneurs as well as creators. We believe that creating businesses that leverage a talent's audience is the best way to monetise for the long-term.

  • CEO-as-a-service: we partner with talent to run business operations, and deliver commercial strategy advice, connections and deals that can support long-term careers. We will help you find new revenue streams, and procure relationships that develop your brand. We distinguish ourselves from traditional talent management companies by seeing our role as one that has a long-term vested interest in your holistic career development from the perspective of a "CEO" rather than an "agent".

MANAGING PARTNER

Qiao helps buyers and sellers to obtain value through a M&A consulting service. We typically cover deals in the £1-£50m enterprise value range, which covers small and medium-sized businesses and startups across asset and equity sales. We work at the intersection of trust, adaptability and affordability.

Here, I work with startup founders to prepare their companies for strategic exit opportunities:

  • Bespoke and proximal approach for clients - we tailor our approach based on a close relationship with the founder and / or leadership team

  • Understanding of opportunity cost - running a small business or M&A team takes considerable effort and expertise; we recognise the burden M&A and fundraising can have and thus prefer short and concise interactions with clear outcomes

  • Cost and serviceable client - no client is too small for us to take on, given the right conditions, and we provide amore trusted and comprehensive infrastructure and intimate startup know-how than a traditional boutique

  • Network density - we offer a unique density of network across investors (traditional or otherwise), corporates and scaleups that covers the breadth of potential targets / buyers.

  • Source potential sponsorship and partnership opportunities and pitching to relevant companies
